  5. I%2/3, cup, white corn syrup
  6. I%2, cups, sugar
  7. I%2/3, cup, water, boiling
  8. I%2, T, white vinegar
  9. I%2, tsp, cream of tartar
  10. I%2, tsp, vanilla
  11. I%1/8, tsp, baking soda
  12. I%2, T, margarine
  13. I%1/2, cup, popcorn

  16. R%     Pop the popcorn and set aside.
  17. R%     Combine the syrup, sugar, water, and vinegar in a saucepan.
  18. R%     Bring to a boil and add the cream of tartar.  Boil to a soft
  19. R%crack stage (this is when it will form a hair like strand when you
  20. R%lift some up on a spoon).
  21. R%     Remove from the heat and add the margarine, baking soda, and
  22. R%vanilla.  Stir.
  23. R%     Quickly pour over the popcorn and stir.
  24. R%     Form into balls by scooping up a handful inside some wax
  25. R%paper and pressing together.  CAUTION this can be HOT--BE CAREFUL!
